IMAX is a large-format cinematographic system that includes several components that differ from conventional cinemas:
- a screen the height of a 5-storey building (2-3 times larger screen than in most other cinemas);

- IMAX sound equipment in 10 several times more powerful than sound systems in conventional cinemas;

-the cost of IMAX hall equipment is 10 times higher than usual; -a special screen is used, which is covered with a layer of silver for better reflectivity, which additionally increases the purity and brightness of the image;
